The regular meeting of the Village Council was called to order
by the chairman Geo. E. Hanson
Members present Hanson Frandsen Reiss Moe and Nilson
Minutes ofthe Council meeting held Jan 1821944 were read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the minutes stand
approved with corrections.

Motion by "eiss seconded by Moe that the Village attorney
cancel the liability policy Number 22F 11048 with the Fred L
Grey Co.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the Village attorney
cancel the policy Number 22P 1019041 with the American Gausalty Go
Handon Frandsen Reiss Moe Wilson (YES)
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the matter of fire insurance
on the Village equipment be continueed until the next meeting.

The Village attorney read a letter from the Tow&&s Co ,asking
the cancelation of the Paul Enghauser bond.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the matter be tabled until
the next Council meeting.

Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss that Pete Faust be appointed
Constable to fill the vacasy left by Arno Oenzen

A letter from Clarence Scherer was read and placed on file
Motion by Reiss secoirded by Frandsen to adopt the following
resolution s
Resolved that the Village Council of Golden Valley approve
the sale of the thirty four lots heretofore forfeited to the
State for non payment of taxes by the County auditor for
$3500.00 as a grpup and not offered singly

A report, read by the treasurer, Carl Johnson, was ordered placed
on file.
The chairman called for bids for a new police Car. No bids were
received.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that cigarette licenses
be granted to the Glenwood Hills Ha.spital and the Theodore
Firth Chalet.

A letter from Schultz Lynch Inc asking the Council to transfer
their licenses to Ivar Stanger was read.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the letter be referred
to the chairman of the license committee and that he report
back to the Council at its next gegular meeting.

A letter from fire cheif Lovering was read and placed on file.
Motion by Reiss seconded b7 -Wilson that the civil serviXce
commissioner appointmdnt be postpone until the next Council
meeting.
