The meeting was called to order by the chairman Geo.E.Hanson
members present Hanson Frandsen Reiss Moe Wilson
minutes of the regular meeting held May2,1944 were read
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the minutes stand -approved
as read.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that it be resolved by the Village
Council of Golden Valley that the transfer of list 105T to the
Village of Golden Valley covering lot 384 Belmont, Village of
Golden Valley Hennepin County, Minn be approved

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following
resolution : Be it resolved by the Village Council of Golden
Valley that the Cheif of the Fire Dept. and the two assistant
chiefs, together with one other member of the fire dept,
designated by the Chief, be and hereby are authorized to have
on thier ears sirens and red lights to be used in casts of
emergbncy.

The Village attorne y stated that there was a deep hole near the
road on 15th AveNo and D St and recommended that the owner install
a guard rail
The chairman called for bids on $00 feet of fire hose. No bids
were received.
The Chairman recommended th*t a bid be sent the Recorder May 17,
1944 and that the Council act on the bid at this regular Council
meeting ^
The Village Attorney ruled that the proceedure would be proper
at this time.
Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the Council purchase 590
feet of fire hose at 80cents perfoot from the Minn Fire Equip. Co

The chairman asked Mr Kane to have the Glenwood Hills Hospital
write a letter to the Council atating their williness to receive
fire calls on their mall board.
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the Council give a vote
of thanks to the Glenwood Hills Hospital for accepting fire calls
over the call board and that the clerk write a letter of thanks

Mr. Moe chairman of the license committee recommended that 3.2
on sale and a soft drink license be granted to Mrs Esther Dols
The chairman asked if anyone in the audience objected to granting
this* licenses. No one objected.
Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss to grant 3.2 on sale and soft
drink licenses to Mrs Esther Dols.

The chairman opened the discussin of a proposid park in the Western
Ave Park Addition.
Mr. INM Hensler and Mr. Art Hensler objected to the proposed park
Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the Western Ave Park
Addition matter be referred to the Golden Valley Planning
Commission, and that they send their recommendations to the
Council.

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen that the vacating of Douglas
Ave and part of June Ave be referred to the Village attorney and
that a public hearing be held at the next regular Council meeting

wing persons spoke against changing the n_resent liquor convic#ion
ordinance. Mr. Dalhstrom, Mrs Dalhstrom, Ted Erickson and R.G

Motion by Reiss seconded by Frandsen to grant off sale liquor
licenses to Iver Stanger, C C. Florida, Mrs Lucille Radisch,
and Rae Locketz

The clerk read a report from the State Examiner on the financial
affairs and records for the years ended Dec. 31,1940,1941,1942
and 1943.
Motion by Reisseseconded Moe that the report be places} on file.
