06-20-44 Council MinutesJune 20,1944 y 8 19 The meeting was called to order by the chairman Gee. E.Hanson Members present Hansen Frandsen Moe Wads. Member absent Reims Minutes of the Council meeting held June 6,1944 were read. Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the minutes stand approved as read. Hagen Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) A letter , from Fire chief Lovering, recommending that the Council purchase 500 feet of hose from the Minn Fire Equipment Co at 95¢ per foot y was read by the clerk. Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Council purchase 500 feet of fire hose from the Minn. Fire Equipment Ce at 95¢ per foot and that the Clerk be instructed to return all certified chedks Hansen Ftandsen Moe Wilson (YES) Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that a cigarrette license be granted to Mrs Heyers for sa six month period. Hansen Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) Motion by Frandsen sceended by Moe t' -.at milk licenses be granted to Ohlen Dairy, Franklin Coop Creamery,Ewald Bros Dairy,Clover leaf Dairey and Northland Milk Co. Hereon Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that on sale liquor licenses be granted to Mrs Lucille Radisch, C.C.Florida and Mrs Clara Schuller, Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) Inver Stanger ask the Council to withdiAw hide application for a on sale liquor license. Motion by Frandsen se--onded by Moe that the application be withdrawn Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (IDES) A letter from V.J.Hermel was referred to the Road Boss. A letter from the planning Commission was read by the Clerk. Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the recommendations of the Planning Commission be tabled until the next Council meeting. Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) A letter form the Glenwood Hills Hospital stating thier desire to to continue accepting fire calls over switch board was read and placed on file. A report from the Road boss was read and placed on file. The clerk read the published notices of vacating all of Douglas ave Valley Place and part og June Ave. Mr. koGarthy and Mr. Kennedy were present at the Council meeting Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Council accept the Platt of Xr Kennedy subject to thaapproval of the Village Attorney and the filing of a completion band be Mr. Kennedy Hanson Frandsen Moe 'Nilson (YES) Motion by Wilson seconded by Frandsen that the next Council meeting be held July 5,1544 01 -- Hanson Frandsen Moe ilson (YES) Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that Mr Finch be released of his completion bond on the Trailee addition roads. Fire Chief Carlson presented the certificate of purchase of the new fire truck to the Ceuncil.he also stated that the fire truck was paid for by many friends and members of the fire dept. Mr. Denzin informed the Council that four thousand yards of gravel was needed for the Village Roards and &bkt thatVillage Lots in the Belmont Addition be surveyed before digging starts, Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen tb Adjourn was so ordered.
