Hansom Members_prosent Hanson Frandsen Reiss Moe and Wilson Minutes of the regular Council meeting held quly 5,1944 were read. Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe ,that the minutes stand approved as read. County Minn. (A letter from the Golden Valley Improvement Assn expressing their appreciation of the Village ouncil in net accepting the plat oound consisting of 20 acnes of lowland on Harold Ave. intended for lark purposes, was read and placed on file. A letter from the Mple Gas Light Co announcing rate deductio as read by the clerk. A treasurers report was road and placed on file. The Bldg inspectors report was read and placed on file. h�. A letter addressed to Civil Service Commissioner Robert Ewald from the Village attorney, was read by the clerk. The chairman opened the hearing on the vacation of Vallet Place Do person apposed the vacation of valley Place Mr. moved the adoption of the following,resolution: AREAS, A majority of the owners of land abutting on Valley A in Tyrol Hills Addition in Hennepin County, yd micsota, which -is, withiA-the corporate limits of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, have petitioned to the village council in writing duly filed with the village clerk for the w vacation of said avenue, and one weekss published notice having been had and posted notice given of a hearing to be had on the 18th day of July, 19'T4, at a regular meeting of the village council at the Village Hall in Golden Valley, i Minnesota, and notice having been posted as provided by la, and a hearing ha ing been had on the said 18th dal of July, 1944, at the Village Hall. in Golde Valley, Minnesota, and which hearing was duly adjourned to August 1st, 1944, P1ee k and it appearing to the village council that the vacation of said -Valley Ave e r= is for the interest of the public, NOY THEREFORE, �BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of Golden Valley, � Minnesota, That Valley A be forthwith vacated. Motion by Raise seconded by Frandsen that the ordinance be referred to the ca the license Committee. Hanson Frandsen Reiss Mee Wilson (YES) Mr. Mos introduced an Ordinance licinsingg and regula#ing dogs, providing for impounding dogs, and prescribing a penalty for Violation and a first reading was given. Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the ordinance be referred to the cr the license committee. Hanson Frandsen neiss Yoe Wilson (YES) The chairman of the license committee announced that a public hearing dog ordinance would be held at the next regular Council meeting, Motion by Yoe seconded by Frandsen that the Village attorney be instructed to contact Yr. Moser's attorney and insist that Mr Moser place guard rails along his gravel pit and authorization be given him to pet post on Village property.
