12-19-44 Council MinutesDec.1911944 27 The meeting was called to order by the chairman Geo, E. Hanson Membbrs present Hanson Frandsen Moe and Milson Member absent Reiss Minutes off the regular council meeting held Dec. 6,1944 were read. Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that the minutes stand avaroved as read. Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe to grant cigarette licenses to Iver Stanger and Mae �,uist. Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) A letter from the Planning Commission, asking the Council to take action to control the east going traffic at the intersection of No. Tyrol Trail and Wayzata Blvd.,was read and placed on file. A petition from the property owners in Tyrol Hills and'Glen Urban addition was presented to the Council asking them to devise some means to control the city bound traffic at the Intersection of Tyrol Trail and Wayzeta Blvd. Motion by Moe seconded by Wilson that the Council permit use of the road scraper on lakes and that the Fire Wept. flood each skating rink three times per season, the equipment to be used only after writtin permission from the property owners involeded. Hanson Frandsen Moe Wilson (YES) A netition asking the Council to.vacate the following described road was read by the clerk : all that part of Janalyn Rd in the plat of Glen urban 2nd "ddition that lies northerly and easterly of the following described line to wit: Beginning at the southwestern corner of lot 37 in said Glenurban 2nd Addition; thence east along the south line of lot 37 a distance of 40 feet; thencesouthea.sterly on a tangential curve to the ra mht, with a, radius of �142 Z?-_ �'-Pet, a distance of 128.4 feet t�� U4"►°L�' ^�-°t t6 CLy 4'mfs.�Q Glenurban addition which point is u9.4 feet south of the southeast corner of lot 38 in said addition. Mr Moser asked the Council for a permit to build a cement block fac— tory. on lot 3 at the intersecttun of Mediciene Lake Rd and the Belt line hghwy. The chairman referred Mr losers request to the Planning Commission. The Village attorney agreed to check the laws on gravel pits and cem ent factories) and report back to the Council. Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Village attorney notify the Supievbr Golf Club of a pit fire on their nroperty. Hanson Frandsen Mow Wilson (YES) NOTICE OF HEARING On Petition to Vacate a Certain Portion of Janalyn Road in Golden Valley NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley will meet at the Village Hall in said Village on the second day of January, 1945, at 8:00 o'clock P.M., and will at said time and place conduct a hearing and act upon a petition duly filed with the Vil- lage Clerk for vacation of the following described portion of Janalyn Road in said Village: All that part of JanalynRoad in the plat of Glenurban secondaddition that Iles northerly and easterly of the following de- scribed line, to -wit: beginning at the south- western corner of lot 37 in said Glenurban second addition; thence east along the south line of lot 37 a distance of 40 feet; thence southeasterly on a tangential curve to the right with a radius of 142.32 feet, a distance of 128.4 feet; thence southeasterly on a line tangent to last described curve, a distance of 6.6 feet to a point in the eastline of said Glenurban second addi- tion, which point is 59.4 feet south of the southeastern quarter of lot 38 in said ad- dition, all according to a map and plat thereof on file in the office of the register of deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota.
