06-12-45 Special MeetingMinutes of Special Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley June 12, 1945 ff The meeting was called to order at 8 p.m. by President George E. Hanson. Members presents Hanson, Frandsen, Moe, Reiss. Member absents Wilson. The President gppointed the Village Attorney to keep the minutes of the meeting in the absence of the Village Clark. Th P e resident stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the petition of C. Hoening and others for the improvement to be made on the following streets: Byrd, McNair, Valley View Drive, Meridian Drive, Zenith avenue North, Peter Pan Lane, and Park View Boulevard in Del- phian Heights, Second and Third Units, by the construction of a sewer main and disposal system in and on said streets and in said Delphian Heights, Second and Third Units, said petition having been signed by C. Hoening, Jr. and others. The Acting Olerk of the meeting stated that the affidavit of publica- tion of the notice of the public hearing required by statute had been filed by the Clerk, and the same was presented to the Council showing publication of the notice in the Robbinsdale Post on May 24 and May 31, � 1945, and the Aoting Clerk further siateTthat notice of the public hearing had been posted in three public places, as required by Laws of 1925, Chapter 382.E � Mr. Estabrook, of Estabrook and Hitchcock, Inc., read and presented his " report on the proposed improvement. The report was considered by the Council and placed on file. The President asked the Clerk to read any written objections to the proposed improvement. Members of the audience in favor of the proposed improvement were asked to state their position, and Mr. William Howard and others spoke in favor of the improvement. Members of the public in the audience opposed to the proposed improve- ment were asked to state their objections.
