The meeting was called to order by the President Geo E Hanson
at 8 o'clock P.D.

The nresident stated that the nurnose of the meeting was to
take u-
p the question of reassessing the Village and the location
of the new fire station
,kr Lester Ilstad announced that !Lr Gaffney had appointed him
Deputy Assessor
County Commissioner 'Earl Ainsworth explaindd the tax situation'
in Golden Valley and -Promised to 't,-elp the new De-outy Assessor
renort from the Fire Committee was read and filed,
kotion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss to adopt the following
resolution:
Resolved that the Village Attorney be instructed to seek
an option on the Olson Hghwy Property for use as the site of the
new fire station.
Be it further resolved if an ontion is obtained the fire
underwriters be invited to ins-oect this site and the Belt line
site todetermine whether both locations are equally accepted
in so far as rate reduction is concerned.

A letter from the Golden Valley Commis cial Club -notified the
Council that the Club would operate a Binpn game at Schuller's
Grove on Aug. 12)1945
motion by 'Nilson seconded by Reiss that the letter be -placed

The Village Attorney reported that he had informed Dr Samuelson
of the Droceedure to follow in dedicating his road to the Village
and that Dr Sa-illivalson would get in touch with him when and if
he wished to dedicate the road.
Motion by eiss seconded by Frandsen to adjourn was so ordered
