The Attorney stated the probletris of connecting water in Glenview
Terrace with kills and he was instructed to look into the matter
more and re-oort back at the next Council meeting.
A petition from Leo Schulz and others asking that &b -alley in
Block 1 Glenview Terrace unit 2 be graded and graved was read.

Whereas a petition in writing signed by Leo Schulz and others
dated Aug 1,1945 has been duly filed kith the Village Cluncil
requesting that the alley in Block 1 Glenview Terrace be im-proved
by grading and graveling now therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED that said petition is hereby determined to have
been signed by a majority of the owners of prop rty abbutting
on said proposed improvement as required by chapter 311; laws
of 1927.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley that it deemed necessary and expedient to improve by
grading and graveling the alley in Block 1 Glenview Terrace unit
2) and that on the 2nd day of Oct 19451 at 8 o'clock P.M. this
Council will meet at the Village Hall in said Village and. will
meet at said time and place hear the narties interested therein
in referrence to such imDrovement in whole or in nart,

A letter from Attorney Arthur Nelson, asking for a salary
of 075.00 ner month plus a reasonable attorneys fee for other
matters was read,

$75.00 ner month as Village Attorney for the balance of the year 1945
in accordance with his letter

kotion by Moe seconded by Reiss to adopt the following reolution:
"Whereas, the Council of the Village of Golden Valley deem it nec—
essary) expedient and desirable to provide a place upon which to
erect a fire station) police and road equipement garage and other
necessary buildings needed in a community center)andx
WHEREAS; the Council of the Village of Golden Valley deem most
sui able for said purpose; that p,4rt.�,q the Southwast One quarter
SE of the Northeast one quarte of section thirty—two
)Township One hundred eighteen (118), Range Twenty —one (21(
lying East of the West six hundred fifty three (653) feet thereof)
except the right of way of the Electric Short Line Railroad Co.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Council of the Village of
Golden Valley that the Village take by proper condemnation
proceedings the lands hereinbefore described and that Arthur T
Nelson, its attorney) take Asch legal stens and proceedings to
-accomplish said condemnation as in such cases by law provided and
that the proper officers of the Village of Golden Valley execute
and sign all pleadings and proceedings be law required and nay
from the funds of said Village not otherwise ap-oro-oriated such
sums as by law shall be awarded to the owners of the above
described oremises for the taking thereof."

view and engineer and arclaitectto determine whether they should
be employed in connection with the proposed site, cost, and plans
for a new fire station and Civic Center.
The matter of the proposed gas tank of the kedicine Lake Bus Co
at its garage was referred to the Chief of the fire Dent.

Council requesting that the alley in Block
One (1), Glenview Terrace, be improved
by grading and gravelling,
Now, therefore, be it resolved that said
petition is hereby determined to have been
signed by a majority of the owners of
property abutting on said proposed im-
provement as required by Chapter 311,
Laws of 1927;
Be it resolved by the Village Council
of the Village of Golden Valley that it
