01-15-46 Council MinutesJanuary 15,1946 13 7 The meeting was called to order by the President Harold W. Swenson Members present Swenson, Reiss Moe and Wilson Member bbsent Frandsen fiefs of the Council meeting held January 2,1946 were read. Motion by "eiss seconded by Moe that the minutes stand approved as read Swenson Reiss Moe Wilson (YES) A treasurers report was read and 'filed. Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss that the North American Office of the N.W. Nat'l BK & Trust. Co. and the North Side Office of the lst Nat'l Bk & Trust Co be depositories for Village funds and that the Banks are authorized to honor the signatures of Harold W Swenson, President, Geo. E. Casey, Treasurer, and Gail D. Wilson, Clerk on all Village warrents and checks. Swenson Reiser Moe Wilson (YES) Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe to grant the Northern States Power Co permission to erect poles as requested. The Village Attorney was instructed to contact Mr Makie an have him clean up his front yard to look like a residential area. The Schuller oil station matter was referred to the Bldg Inspector. Motion by Wilson seconded by Reiss to accept the resignation of Mr Blosjo from the Planning Commission. Swenson Reiss Moe Wilson (YES) The President recommenddd that Mr. Wm McKinnon be appointed to the Golden Valley Planning Commission to fill the unexpired term of Mr B Blosjo. Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that Mr WM Mc Kinnon fill the unexpird term of Mr Blosjo - term to expire Dee.31,1947. Slevin resigning as Village Assessor was read and filed. Lotion by Reiss seconded by Mme that the resignation of J.R. Slevin be accepted. Swenson Reiss Moe Wilson (YES) Mr Moe recommended that Mr Schubert be appointed assessor t The President recommended that the Council memebass interview kr Schubert and others in the next few weeks Motion by Reiss seconded by Moe that the Council table the appointing of an assessor until the next Council meeting. County Relief Board of the County of pi and supervision of poor rel&if in the Village of Golden Valley be accepted and approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper saidofficers contractfinsaid duplicateVillage and of Golden Valley be directed to execute when executed to return one of said contracts to the Suburban Henn.
