March 19,1946 were read. It was suggested, that the refernce to the eid speed ordinance be changed to pending speed ordinance. Motion by Frandsen seconded by Reiss that the minutes stand approved with corred.tion as to the spsed ordinance title. _Swensen Frandsen Reiss Mee Wilson (YES) The attorney rejected the description in the Moser petition for rezonin and the clerk was instructed to return the petition for a proper g description. Minutes of the special council meeting held March 20,1946 were read. Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that.the minutes stand approved as read. Mr. Zimmerman, Hennepin County Engineer, presented to the Councillans for the improvement Of County road 70. p Motion by Moe seconded by Reiss to adopt the following resolution: " Whereas the County of Hennepin through its engineeing Dept. has submitted plans of County Road.# 70 which shows a tenitive grade on county road # 70 and Whereas it appears on the representation of the County engineers Office, that said grade is subject to revision on complaiudt of abbuting property owners if the complaint is well founded. Now therefore be it resolved by the Village�Council of the Village of Golden Valley that the Village Clerk, Gail D Wilson be authorized to sign said plans and profiles on form submitted by Hennepin County Engineer. Swenson Frandsen Reiss Moe Wilson (YES) Approved ------------1946 ----------------- --- ----- President - Clerk AN ORDINANCE REGULATING t 1 TAVERNS AND FOR THE -1 G THEREOF AND LICENSING �— PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF The Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. No person shall operate a tavern within the limits of the Village of Golden Valley without having paid an an- nual license fee of $500.00 and having se- cured a permit to operate such a tavern. SECTION 2. The license fee above pro- vided for shall be due and payable on the first day of April of each year and shall ,not be transferable unless by consent of the Council. SECTION 3. A tavern as herein used shall be any place where malt beverages are sold and where entertainment and/or music shall be at any time provided. SECTION 4. Taverns shall be subject to all the regulations and restrictions con- tained in the ordinances of the Village of Golden Valley regulating non -intoxicating liquor and places of business selling' malt non -intoxicating malt liquor and any viola- tion of any such ordinance may be grounds, for the cancellation of said license if the• Council shall so decide. SECTION 5. A tavern license shall in- clude the right to sell non -intoxicating malt liquor for consumption on the premises. SECTION 6. Any person violating any of the above provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined not exceed- ing $100.00 or be imprisoned for not ,ex- ceeding ninety (90) days. SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and HAROLD W. SWENSON, President of the Village Council. Attest: GAIL D. WILSON, Clerk.
