Pursuant to motion made and adopted at the meeting of this Council on rune 3, 1946, a special meeting of the Village Council of Golden Valley was held t the Village Hall on Jane 6, 1946 at WO p.m. Members present were: Harold W. Swenson — President Hans Reiss Charles Franzen Curtis V. Moe A letter was presented to the Council by the Police Civil Service )Miss n requesting a temporary 30 -day appointment of Mr. Amid Johnson and r. Winslow F'ritzen for Special Police work in policing the roadside parking real. After discussion Mr. pans Reiss made the following motionr s � "I move that the Village Council concur in the recommendation of the )lice Civil Service Commission -that Amid Johnson and Winslow Fritzen be :pointed special policemen for a period from June 7, 1946 to July 5, 1946 Lthout civil service rights to accrue Vverefrom to said mens at a wage of i cents per hour and to work such hours as the police civil service commission all determine, and under general supervision of the captain of the Police rpartment and each of said men small sign a Vaiver of civil rights prior to !ginning said employment." Motion was seconded by Mr. Curtis V. roe and the roll call thereon is as follows: Harold W. Swenson — yes Charles Franzen — No Hans .Reiss — Yes Curtis V. Poe — Yes Tile Chair thereupon declared said motion adopted. Mr. Charles Franzen offered the following Resolution: MMES, the Village Council of the Village of t olden Valley, Hennepin County, Kinnesota, has received from the Land Commissioner of Hennepin County, a list of land in said Village of Golden Wley which has become the absolute property of the State of Vinnesota under the provisions of laws declaring the forfeiture of lands to the State for taxes, which lands have been classified by the County Board of said Hennepin County as non --conservation and for sale, pursuant to the Lags of Minnesota for 1535, Chapter, 386, Section 1, as amended, which list of land is designated as List 174 "C", April 8th, 1946, and rMRW., this Council has made a complete examination of all facts and circumstances relating to such parcels, "`j THE111FC?i$E, acting pursuant to Bald Section 1, Chapter 3 , as %ended,
