Minutes of the Council meeting held July 2,1946 were read..
Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that the minutes stand approved
as vread.

A Treasureres report was read and filed.
The President opened the hearing on the proposed rezoning of the
Moser property on Golden Valley Road for a grocery dt®re.

make up the necessary proceedure to Admend the zonin laws in favor
of the rezoning of the Moser property for a Grocery tore.

Mr Moser appeared in his own behalf for the temporary zoning of
his property off the Belt Line for a cement black factory, and
asked the Council to hold a public hearing Aug. 6,1946
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that a public hearing be held
Aug 6,1946 to consider the application of Mr Moser for the temparary
rezoning off that part of Gov't let 3, Section 28, Township 118
Range 21, Hennepin County ,Minn. described as follows: Beginning
at a point on the North line of said Gov't lot 31 660 feet East
of the Northwest corner of said lot 3, which point is 750 feet
West of the West line of the Belt Line or Hghwy # 100; thence at
right angles south a distance of 660 feet to a point which is
approximately 660 feet north of the north line of Medicine lake
Rds thence Nest 400 feet, thence north to the north line of
said Gov't lot 3, thence East to the point of beginning; and that
said notice,be published and posted as provided by laws.

The President recommended that the police officers receive a raise
in salary of $15.00 per month.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the salary of police officers
of the Village of Golden Valley be increased $15.00 per month

Motion bly Frandsen seconded by Moe to adopt the following resolutiew.
Be it hereby resolved that the letter be approved and placed ono file
and the Village Council go on record as favoring erection of said.

A petition signed by owners of property on Meadow Lane between Olson
Hghwy and Poplar Drive to Black Top the road was read.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen to adopt the following resolutions
Be it resolved that a public hearing be held in the 6th of Aug 1946 at
the Village Hall ink said Village at which time a public hearing
will be held on 51 % of property owners on Meadow Lane to asphalt
Black Top that portion of Meadow Laneo between Olson Hghwy and Popular
Drive. Be it further resolved that the Village Clerk be authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for said street improvement and
the cost of said improvement be assessed by adjoining land owners in
proportion to benifits received therefrom.

The President suggested that the property owners on the north side of
Olson hghwy on Meadow Lane contact the Craig Co for resurfacing.

The President recommended that the Council build a fire station out of
cement blocks size 54f feet x 512 feet and that the Council advertise
for bids immediately
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the Village attorney be impowered
to advertise for the sale of bonds in the amount of $4500.00 for
a fire station.

to the League of Minn Municipalities for study and approval

the table until Aug 6,1946.

A letter from the hghwy Dept in regard to dpeed zoning Olson hghwy was
read and filed.
A letter from the Planning Commission was read and filed,.
Motion by Moe seconded by Frandsen that the resignation of N.S. Nicholson
from the Planning commission be accepted.

gnd Martin Grosinch-for transfering Leonard Anderson licenses be referrai
to the chairman of the license committee

Motion by Mee seconded by Frandsen that a first reading be given
the ordinance entitled " An ordinance establishing and regulating
the Municipal dumping grounds" and that a 2nd reading be given at
the next council meeting.

Motion by Mee seconded by Frandsen that the first reading be given
the ordinance entitled. " An ordinance regulating dumping grounds md,
providing for nenalties for the violation thereof" and that the 2nd
reading be given at the next council meeting.

Motion by Frandsen seconded by Moe that a first reading be given
the ordinance entitled " an ordinance defining and prehibitibg dis-
orderly condtct and providing a penalty for violation thereof" and
that a 2nd reading be giving at the next council meeting.

Notice is hereby given that the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley
will meet at the Village Hall in said
Village on the 6th day of August_ 1946,
at 8 o'clock p.m., and will at said time
and place conduct a public hearing and
act on the petition of property owners to
Asphalt Black Top that portion of Meadow
Lane between Olson Highway and Popular
Drive and the costs thereof to be paid by
adjoining property owners in proportioned
to the benefits received therefrom.
This notice is posted in accordance with
a resolution of the Village Council duly
adopted at its regular meeting held on
July 16, 1946, and in accordance with the
Ordinance for such case made and pro-
vided.
