11-12-46 Special MeetingA Special Meeting of the Village Council of Golden Valley was 2,49 Harold Swenson - President Hans Reiss - Truste®� Charles Frandsen - Trustee Mr. Frandsen moved that the attorney for the Village be authorized and directed to write a letter to the Highway Department informing then that if they would remove the barrier to the roadway leading from the Belt Line to Nob Hill, the Council of Golden Valley wouldmaintain said road and police the same. Mr. Reiss seconded said motion and the roll call thereon was as follows Harold Swenson -- Yes Hans Reiss -yes Charles Frandsen - yes z A discussion was had upon the desirability of sendingthe Mayor of Golden Valley to a hearing to be held this coming Thursday in Chicago before the Federal Civil Aeronautics Board on the question of Federal aid for ,���` ;•: proposed airports. It appeared that Mr. 0. B. Erickson the Mayor of � St. Louis Park, was going to attend and that the Mayor of Minneapolis was i. going to attend and Mr. Reiss moved that the Mayor of Golden Valley be authorized to attend said meeting at the expense of the Village, with the understanding that said expenses would not exceed the sum of $75.00. Mr. Frandsen seconded the motion and the roll call thereon was as follows: Harold Swenson - yes Hans Reiss - yes Charles Frandsen .. yes A discussion was had upon the request of the Toomeys for an amendment to the zoning laws relative to front yard areas and Mr. Reiss moved the adoption of the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED that it is the opinion of the Village Council of Golden Valley that the front yard requirements as contained in the zoning laws should not be changed as requested and thetthe Council of the Village of Golden Valley affirm the action of its building inspector. __.
