11-30-48 Special Meeting273 November 30, 1948 A special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valiey was held November 30 at 7:30 P.M. at the Village Hall, with the following members in attendance: President Stasel and Trustees Frandsen, Pinch; Putnam and Reiss. Minutes of the meeting held November 16 were read and on motion by.frandsen seconded by Reiss approved. A first reading Was given to an ordinance entitled "Ail ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 20NING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY AND REZONING CERTAIN LANDS FROM OPEN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT TO COM14UNITY STORE DISTRICT." Motion by Putnam seconded by Pinch to approve the first reading of the ordinance carried. Following the appearance of the applicants for the rezoning, Y:essrs. Wiliiams and Pourers, Who stated that they had no further interest in the rezoning, no further action was taken. There followed a review of b udgetedexpenditures for 1948 and it was determined that approximately x-)7000.00 additional revenue from the November tax settlement A>ould, permit the year- end expenses to be met. Motion by Putnam seconded by Pinch carried, to authorize the road chairman to present a. written report at the next regular meeting on recommended truck and accessories in order to proceedwith the advertising for bids. Communication of November 30 from Ai McGinnis was read, recom-ending consideration for increasing personnel of the department and salaries, establishing a 40 -hour work week and retirement plan. Communication of November 15 from L.Z.Carlson protesting the operation, of the Thorne Store v*ixtuTe Company was resda.nd referred to the clerk for response. Motion by Putnam seconded by Reiss to adopt the formal resolution of depository designation of the. Northwestern Nationai Bank of Minneapolis authorizing thesignatures of A. G. Stasel, President; Bert D. Putnam, Clerk; and C. W -Bryan, Treasurer, carried. Motion by Putnam seconded by Reiss to adjourn to December 8 carried: Attest: C - fQ'`L��� Clerk President
