The Council of the Village of Golden Valley met as a
Board of Tax Review at the Village Hall at 7:00 P.M. Thursday,
July 5, with the following members present: Putnam., Reiss
and Stark. Absent: Pinch and Stasel. In the absence of
the Magor and Acting Mayor, Haas Reiss assumed the chairman-
ship of'the meeting. Also present were Einar Lee, village
assessor, and Rog Haeg, county supervisor of assessments.
Mr. Haeg stated that the Board of Review could.. consider
only personal property tax matters in the odd numbeed years
and informed several of those present that if they had any
questions to raise regarding their real estate taxes they
Would have to take them up with the Hennepin County Tax
Board.
The Board discussed various points on how assessments
are made, mill rates, etc., and also discussed matters of
assessment with the several people who were present.
Mr. Richard Walbh, 40 Lawn Terrace, inquired about the
increase in his real estate taxes over the previous year.
The assessor said that he would recheck the Walch residence
and discuss the matter with Mr. Walch.
No other business being brought"before the Board of
Review, motion by Putnam seconded by Stark carried to adjourn.
