07-01-54 Board of Review1 F1 BOARD OF REVIEW GOLDEN VALLEY July 1, 1954 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, met as the Board of Review at the Village Hall in said Village on the first day of July, 1954. The following members were present: Bies, Foss, Huebsch, and Stark: and the following were absent: Rahn. Present was Mr. William Pinch, Village Assessor. The Village clerk presented an affidavit of publication of Assessment Notice of public meeting to be held at this time and place for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the assess- ments of said Village for the year 1954• Said affidavit was examined, approved, and ordered placed on file. The Mayor then called for any person who felt himself aggrieved by said assessment to come forward and be heard. The following persons appeared before the Board and stated that they thought their assessed valuations were too high in comparison with those of their neighbors: Mr. Bakken 400 Winnetka Avenue Mr. Glen Brown 611 Sumpter Avenue Mr. L. G. lnvie 433 Ensign Avenue Mr. M. N. Languor 5860 Golden Valley Road The Council instructed the Assessor to check the valuations of the above person's porperty and to make any changes deemed necessary to equalize their assessments. Mr. Roy Haeg, County Supervisor of Assessments, was present and stated that he and Mr. Pinch would check the above properties together. On explanation of Mr. Pinch, Mrs. R. C. Jacobson, 319 Hanley Road, as to the method of computation, withdrew her complaint. Re.: Streets - "Shangri-La" Addition: The Council instructed he Assessor to determine the method and cost, if any, for acquirement by the village of certain parcels of land presently used for road purposes in said addition, and to report his findings to the Council. There was no other business before the Board. MOVED by Foss seconded by Stark carried that the meeting adjourn. Attest: MV
