of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
March 11th, 1955
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a Special Meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden'Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held in the Village Hall in said Village on the 11th day of March, 1955,
at 12:00 o'clock Noon. The following Mmembers were present: Bies, Foss,
Huebsch, and Rahn; and the following was absent: Member Stark. The Mayor
called the meeting to order at 12:00 o'clock Noon.
The Administrator stated that the estimated cost of the lateral sewer
improvement, for which bids were being taken, was 961,150,000.00. Said
estimate can be broken up as follows:
Section "A" $ 375,000.00
Section "B" 225,000.00
Section "C" 525,000.00
Section "D" 25,,000.00
Total $1,150,000.00
The Village Clerk presented an affidavit showing publication in the official
village newspaper of the call for bids for certain lateral sewer improvements
in the Village of Golden Valley. Said affidavit was examined, approved,
and ordered placed on file in the office of the Village Clerk.
The Mayor announced that this was the time and place referred to in the
above affidavit of publication for the opening and consideration of sealed
bids for said construction.
The Clerk reported that he had received 13 sealed bids as follows:

MOVED by Rahn seconded by Bies carried to refer said bids to the G. M. Orr
Engineering Company for tabulation and recommendation. Said tabulation and
recommendation to be presented to the Council at the meeting of March 15th,
1955.
MOVED by Rahn seconded by Bies carried that the meeting adjourn.
