09-13-55 Special MeetingSPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL September 13, 1955 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall in said Village on Tuesday the 13th day of September, 1955, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Bies, Foss, Rahn, and Stark; and the following was absent: Nadasdy. Acting Mayor Bies called the meeting to order at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Agreement with International Paper Companys The Village Attorney read the contract with the InternaElonal Paper Company. After discussion the Council ordered certain words stricken therefrom and other words added thereto and instructed the Attorney to present the contract as revised to the Council at its next regular meeting. The clerk presented the proposed assessment roll for Lateral Sewer Improvement # 1, as prepared by himself and Mr. H. C. Alden, heretofore employed in connection with said improvement, in accordance with the in- structions of this Council, which assessment roll was examined, approved, and ordered placed on file and open to public inspection in the office of the Clerk. Lateral Sewer Assessments: Member Foss introduced the following resolution herein quoted by title and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR LATERAL SEWER IMPROVEMENT ## 111. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rahn, and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Rahn, and Stark; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Acting Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. Member Foss introduced the fol=o wing resolution and moved it adoption: The Clerk Presented the Propsed Assessment Roll for Improvement # 19, as prepared by him with the assistance of the Engineer heretofore employed in connection with said improvement, in accordance with the instructions of this Council, which assessment roll was examined, approved, and ordered placed on file and open to public inspection in the office of the Clerk. Member Rahn introduced the following resolution herein quoted by title and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON ASSESSMENTS FOR 111PROVWNT ## 19" . The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Foss and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Foss, Rahn, and Stark; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Acting Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. See Resolution Book Page Re -assessments Fund # 17: The Village Clerk presented the proposed Re -assessment or re -assessment of Street Improvement # 17 and Olympia Street Storm Drainage Project, as prepared by him with the assistance of the Engineer heretofore employed in connection with said improvement, in accordance with the instructions of this Council, which re -assessment roll was examined, approved, aid ordered placed on file and open to public September 13, 1955 inspection in the office of the Clerk. Member Foss introduced the following resolution herein quoted by title and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR HEARING ON RE -ASSESSMENT FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT #17 & OLYMPIA STREET STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT% The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies' and upon vote being taken thereon., the following voted in favor thereof: Bies., Foss, and Stark; and the following voted against the same:- Rahn; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted signed by the Acting Mayor and his signature attested , f by the Clerk. See Resolution Book Page Member Foss pointed out the need for =ditional parking space in front of the Village Hall. The Administrator was instructed to request that all employees park their vehicles in the court yard to the rear of the Village Hall when space is available.
