VILLAGE COUNCIL
February 6, 1958
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 8030 Olson Memorial Highway in said Village on February 6, 1958,
at 7:30 o'clock P. M.
The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer,
Teresi; and the following was absent: None.
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:40 o►clock P. M.
Present were Acting Village Clerk and Administrator Donald Sorensen, Sewer
and Water Superintendent Donald Spaulding, Plumbing Inspector Harry Hamman,
Deputy Clerk Helen Penniman, Consulting Engineers (Sanitary Sewers) Harry
Mayeron and Robert Huston, Jr.
Continued Hearing -Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement 58-L.F.:
The Mayor announced that one of the purposes of this special meeting was
and is further consideration of the proposed Lateral Sanitary Sewer Impro-
vement (Project 58-L.F.) on which a public hearing was held at the meeting
of February 4, 1958, at which time action was deferred. No persons presented
objections except the following:
OBJECTOR OBJECTION
Mr. Nye Brown Mr. Brown stated they wished their
1426 Florida Avenue North names removed from the petition for
sewer in their area.
The Council consulted the views of all persons interested, and being fully
advised of the pertinent facts, determined to proceed with the construction
of the Lateral Sewer Improvement (Project 58-L.F.) in accordance with the
description of said improvements contained in said notice; provided, however,
that the following portion of said improvement shall not be constructed at
this time.
NORTHWEST TRUNK SEWER AREA (Bituminous Streets):
Lateral District 58-L.F. 1:
Golden Valley Road from T.H. #100 to approximately 14501 West,
North Lilac Drive from approximately 2001 north of St. Croix
Avenue to approximately 4501 South of St. Croix Avenue, St. Croix
Avenue from Xenia Avenue toapproximately350' East.
Lateral District 58 -LF. 5:
Valders from Duluth to Olympia. Duluth Street from Valders to
approximately 2001 West of Valders.

MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Teresi carried to approve the above referenced
action.
Agreement with Architects Patch & Erickson, New Village Hall;
MOVED by Bies seconded by Scherer carried to approve the agreement with
Patch and Erickson, architects, for the New Village Hall.
Proposed Public Hearing, re; 1958 Sewer Construction.-
General
onstruction:
General discussion resulted in the Council establishing March 11, 1958, as
the date for a public hearing to consider sewer petitions to be included in
1958 sewer construction.
MOVED by Bies seconded by Teresi carried to adjourn the meeting.
