05-11-59 Special MeetingSPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL May 11, 1959 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of -the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at 7840 Sixth Avenue North in said Village on May 11, 1959, at 8:00 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi; and the following was absent: None. Present were Village Clerk and Administrator, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney, Stanley D. Kane; Village Engineer, Donald Sorensen; President of the Planning Commission, George Pennock; Chairman of Long Range Planning Committee, George Loughland. The following interested property owners, adjacent to Laurel Avenue, were also present: Messrs. Turnquist, Sr., Yngve, Sr., Bury, Carlson, Volp, Davenport, Reese, Thompson, Merchant, Hamman, Trach, and representatives of Roto -tooter and Continental Bakery Company. re: Discussion of Development of Laurel Avenue: A general discussion followed regarding the development of Laurel Avenue. Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION ORDERING CONDEMNATION" (Laurel Avenue) The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk.
