SPECIAL MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
September 27, 1960
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held
at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on September 27, 1960, at 7:30
o•clock P. M.
The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and
Teresi; and the following was absent: None.
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M., Council then adjourned to
the General Motors Training Center to view the site in question.
Request for Ordinance Waiver General Motors Training Center 800 No. Lilac Dr.:
MOVED by Scherer seconded by Bies carried to approve the request for Ordinance
Waiver of 10 feet from the East property line, placing the building 25 feet from
the property line in lieu of 35' setback.
Pro osed New Tax Statement:
MOVED by Bies seconded by Scherer to refer a copy of a property tax statement,
as laid out by the Village Assessor Robert Burns, to Hennepin County for
their consideration to incorporate this tax statement in lieu of the one now
being used by Hennepin County. The feeling was that this would inform the
tax payer of a break down of all taxes paid to various agencies.
Water Meeting:
MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Teresi carried that the Village Council meet
with Orr-Schelen Company and also invite the various representatives of civic
organizations to discuss the water report as submitted by Orr-Schelen.
MOVED by Scherer seconded by Flannagan carried to adjourn the meeting at 11:30 P.M.
