11-28-60 Special Meeting1 1 SPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL November 28, 1960 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, was duly held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on Monday, November 28, 1960, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following was absent: None. Present were Village Manager and Clerk, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney, Stanley D. Kane; Fiscal Agent, T. G. Evensen. Bond Sale-, Municipal _& Improvement Bonds for 1960: The Mayor stated that this was the time and place heretofore fixed for the receipt of bids for the purchase of $679,000 Improvement Bonds of 1960, and $150,000 Municipal State -Aid Street Bonds of 1960 of the Village. The Clerk presented affidavits of publication of the notice of sale of said bonds in the Commercial West and in the Suburban Press, and on motion duly made, seconded and carried, said affidavits were approved and ordered placed on file. The Clerk reported that 3 sealed bids had been received pursuant to said notice, which were then opened and read aloud, and were found to be as follows: Name of Bidder JURAN-MOODY, INC. PIPER, JAFFRAY & HOPWOOD JOHN NUVEF,N & COMPANY Net Interest Cost and Rate $249,000.00 (3.73%) '- $252,002.25 (3.78%) $253,699.50 (3.80%) After discussion of bids received, Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION AWARDING SALE OF $679,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1960 AND $150,000 MUNICIPAL STATE AID STREET BONDS OF 1960" The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was duly passed and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk. Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: "RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND PROVIDING FOR THE FORM AND DETAILS OF $679,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1960 AND APPROPRIATING SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE PAYMENT THEREOF" The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted and was signed by the Mayor, and attested by the Village Clerk. "RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FORM AND DETAILS OF $150,000 MUNICIPAL STATE -AID STREET BONDS OF 1960" The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
