02-04-64 Council MinutesREGULAR MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL: February 4, 1964 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on February 4, 1964, at 7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Teresi; and the following was absent: None. Present were Village Manager, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney, Robert M. Skare; Village Engineer, Donald Sorensen; Village Clerk, Helen Penniman. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. Invocation: Mayor Nadasdy gave the invocation. Minutes of January 21, 1964: MOVED by Teresi seconded by Flannagan carried to defer approval of the minutes of January 21, 1961, to the meeting of February 18,. 1964. MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Garis carried to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 o'clock P.M. in order that members might attend the Republican pre- cinct caucus meetings. Request for Building Permit; Minneapolis Honeywell, 1885 Douglas Drive: The Village Manager presented the request for a building permit for an addition to the compression room and read a letter dated February 3, 1964, regarding a planting plan for the area along the Minneapolis, Northfield & Southern Railroad. MOVED by Teresi seconded by Schaphorst carried to approve the request for a building permit for an addition for Minneapolis Honeywell, sub- ject to the approval of the Building Inspector and requested that Honeywell submit the plans for landscaping before May 1, 1964, for Council approval. Request for BuildinE Permit - Feinber& Meat Products, 9135 - 6th Avenue North: The Village Manager presented a request for preliminary approval for a building permit for Feinberg Meat Products at 9135 - 6th Avenue North. MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Teresi carried to defer action on the matter to February 18, 1964, Council wishes to inspect the present plant to check the problems of odor and smoke. Regular Meeting of the Village Council, February 4, 1964 Request for Building Permit - Marquette Corporation, 100 - 12 Clover -� Leaf Plaza: The Village Manager presented a request for a building permit for the Marquette Corporation at 100 - 12 Clover Leaf Plaza. Mr. Morton of the Marquette Corporation and Mr. Bob Nystrom, contractor were present to answer questions for Council. The Village Manager re- ported on a meeting in St. Louis Park concerning the building, parking space, and sewer & water connections. NdDVED by Schaphorst seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the request for a building permit for the Marquette Corporation at 100 - 12 Clover Leaf Plaza, subject to the approval of the Building Inspector. Request for a Building Permit - North American Van Lines, Advertising Creative Center: The Village Manager presented the request for a building permit for the North American Van Lines for Lots 6 & 7, Block 2, Advertising Creative Center. MOVED by Teresi seconded by Flannagan carried to defer the request for a building permit for North American Van Lines to the meeting of February 18, 196h. Re: Former Park Property - Mrs. Anna Held Etzler: Council deferred the above matter to the meeting of February 18, 1964. Communication - Call Outstanding Fire Station Bonds of 1948: The Village Manager presented a request from the Finance Department dated January 9, 1964, to call the village outstanding Fire Station Bonds of 1948. MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Teresi carried to approve the request to call the Village outstanding Fire Station Bonds of 1948, upon rec- ommendation of the Finance Officer License: NDVED by Teresi seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the following license: No. Licensee Type Fee 2917 Harding & Williams Cafeteria Sell Food $25.00 (General Mills) Regular Meeting of the Village Council, February 4, 196L Bills: MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Schaphorst carried to approve the bills as submitted on the prelist. Second Reading Ordinances: LVED by Flannagan seconded by Schaphorst carried to defer the second reading of all four ordinances listed under Item No. 1 on the agenda to the meeting of February 18, 1964.
