VILLAGE COUNCIL
December 8, 196L
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a. special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on December 8, 1964, at
8:00 o'clock P.M.
The following members were present: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst,
and Teresi; and the following were absent: None.
Present were Village Manager, Roger K. Ulstad; Village Attorney, Robert M.
Skare; Members of the Planning Commission and Village Planner, John Voss.
Request for Sign Permit - Golden Valley Shopping Center:
The Village Manager presented the request for replacement of existing signs
and waiver of square feet by approximately 40% of the required area, for
the entire Golden Valley Shopping Center.
MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Schaphorst carried to approve the request
for sign permits and waiver of square feet by approximately 40% of the
required area for the entire Golden Valley Shopping Center.
Request for Christmas Tree License:
The Village Manager presented a request for Christmas Tree License for
William A. Svensson and Bruce Robertson in the Golden Hills Shopping Center.
MOVED by Teresi seconded by Schaphorst carried to deny the request for a.
Christmas Tree License in the Golden Hills Shopping Center.
Report of Planning Commission - France Avenue Interchange•
The Village Manager and Village Engineer presented and explained a proposed
Plan I for the France Avenue Interchange.
MOVED by Teresi seconded by Flannagan carried to approve the Planning Commission
report, Plan I, as outlined in the Planning Commission report.
Ordinance - (Custody & Disposal of Unclaimed Property)•
The Village Manager presented a proposed ordinance amending the Village Code
regarding Custody and Disposal of Unclaimed Property in Possession of the
Village.
MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Garis carried to give a first reading to an
ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE"
(Custody and Disposal of Unclaimed Property
in Possession of the Village)
