of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
July 1, 1965
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was
held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village, on July 1, 1965, at 7:30
o'clock P. M.
The following members were present: Flann4gan, Nadasdy, and Schaphorst;
and the following were absent: Garis, Teresi.
Canvass Board, Village Special Election:
The Mayor called the Council to order as a Canvassing Board. The Village
Clerk presented to the Council the official returns of the Special Election
held in and for the Village on June 29, 1965, as filed in his office by the
judges of the election for the Village, together with affidavit showing
posting and publication of notice of said election and sample ballot, in
accordance with the resolution adopted by the Council on April 6, 1965.
Said returns and affidavits were examined and found satisfactory and
directed to be placed on file.
Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
"RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS ON BOND
QUESTION SUBMITTED AT SPECIAL ELECTION"
Shall the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley borrow money and issue
its negotiable coupon general obligation
bonds in an amount not exceeding $185,000,
for the purpose of development and improve-
ment of park properties and recreational
areas?

Said proposition, having received not less than a majority of votes cast thereon,
is hereby declared to have carried.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Schaphorst and, upon roll call there were Three Ayes, and NO Nays, as
follows: Flannagan,Aye; Nadasdy, Aye; Schaphorst, Are; whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Magor and his
signature attested by the Village Clerk. See Resolutions Book page.
