12-20-65 Special Meeting® J SPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL December 20, 1965 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on December 20, 1965 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and Teresi; and the following were absent: None. Present was Village Manager, Roger K. Ulstad. Selection of Planning Commission Appointments: The Council reviewed the geographical locations of the Planning Commission after receiving the list of members whose terms expired and also members who have resigned for business reasons. The Council agreed that the following residents of Golden Valley should be contacted to determine their interest and willingness to serve on the Planning Commission for a period of three years, the exceptions being the residents filling unexpired terms, as follows: Jack Daly Marvin Gisvold Glenn Christiansen Morton Silverman LeRoy Anderson John Bies Wallace Bruch Roger Carlson Lowell Swanson Mahlon Svedberg Robert Hoover 6481 Westchester Circle 1005 Quebec Avenue North 7600 Duluth Street 2135 Noble Avenue North 50.5 Alfred Road 2337 Winnetka Avenue North 3300 Terrace Lane 1523 Kaltern Lane 215 Brunswick Avenue South 516 Utah Avenue South 2020 Orkla Drive MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Garis carried that Mr. Loughland be appointed as a permanent Honorary Advisory Member of the Planning Commission. Re: Proposal of Local 49: MOVED by Flannagan seconded by Schaphorst carried that the Village of Golden Valley accept the proposal of Local 49 for Public Works Employees for the year 1966, as follows: Heavy Equipment Opr. $585.00 Light Equipment Opr. 520.00 Sewer Maintenance #2 540.00 Sewer Maintenance ##1. 520.00 Labor 470.00 1 1 Special Meeting of the Village Council, December 20, 1965 MOVED by Teresi seconded by Garis carried that the monthly salary of the Public Works Director be established at $1,081.00, and the Village Manager established at $1,416.00, for the year 1966, additional money to be obtained from the contigency fund.
