ADJOURNED MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL
September 29, 1969
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, an adjourned meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Golden Valley Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held
at 6:30 o'clock P.M., on September 29, 1969•
Present were the following members: Bies, Garis, Jensen, Stockman, and
Teresi; and the following were absent, None.
Also present were Village Manager, Barkley G. Omans; Finance Director, John
Murphy, and Village Attorney, Robert M. Skare.
Council continued with discussion and action on the 1970 budget as presented
by the Village Manager.
MOVED by Jensen seconded by Garis carried unanimously that an addition of
$12,000 be budgeted for Human Rights Commission within the contingent fund.
The Council discussed the comprehensive planning for the community.
MOVED by Bies seconded by Garis carried that $8,000 be added to the Planning
budget to account 411-13 for comprehensive planning with the view to complet-
ing the plan within a two year period.
The Council set October 27, 1969, for a joint meeting with the Planning Com-
mission at 7:30 P.M., to discuss the comprehensive plan.
MOVED by Garis seconded by Jensen carried that $300.00 be added to Civil
Defense budget account 123-10 for training of Police reserves.
The Village Attorney discussed with the Council the response to the Oliver
Lyle suit.
MOVED by Bies seconded by Stockman carried to adjourn the meeting at 11:30 P.M.
