VILLAGE COUNCIL
May 11, 1971
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Council
of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, was held at
7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village on May 11, 1971, at 8:07 P.M.
The following members were present: Hoover, Paulson, Stockman, Teresi,
and Ulstad; and the following were absent: None.
Present were Village Manager, Barkley G. Omans, Village Attorney, Robert M.
Skare.
The Mayor requested the Village Manager to act as secretary for the meeting.
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 8:07 P.M.
Council approved the notice of the Special Meeting called to consider action
on the Oliver Lyle case on which there is a deadline of May 17, 1971, for
appeal.
The Village Attorney reviewed the legal action in the Lyle case, advising
the Council that where they had responsibilities and discretion in meeting
the awards and expenses of the legal action that no decision has been
announced by the individuals who are parties to the case who have individual
rights in the appeal.
The Village Attorney therefore advised that the Council should take no offic-
ial action at this point that might be prejudicial to the individuals rights.
MOVED by Ulstad seconded by Paulson carried that the Council adjourn the
meeting at 8:14 P.M.
