SPECIAL MEETING
of the
CITY COUNCIL
January 25, 1977
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the Council
of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800
Golden Valley Road in said City on January 25, 1977 at 4:00 p.m. The City
Clerk provided evidence of notice of the meeting as provided by City Ordin-
ance.
The following members were present: Anderson, Hoover, Johnson, Swartz and
Thorsen. Also present were City Manager Barkley G. Omans and City Clerk
Mary H. Marske.
MOVED by Swartz, seconded by Thorsen and carried to declare the notice of
this meeting to be in order as prescribed by City Ordinance.
The City Manager presented the terms of the proposed Local #49 Wage Agree-
ment for 1977-1978.
MOVED by Anderson, seconded by Johnson and carried to approve ratification
of the agreement and authorize the City Manager to sign the agreement with
the Local #49 negotiator.
The Council determined -to defer the matter of sending a communication to
the citizens of Golden Valley regarding the strike settlement to the meet-
ing of February 7, 1977.
The Council adjourned at 4:40 p.m., to reconvene at 7:30 p.m. on January 28,
1977 for a workshop session to which Ron Pavlock has men invited to speak
on communications. / )
