Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting o�-e
City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 uoraen vaircy n,,ad
in said City on November 7, 1979 at 5:20 P.M.
The following members were present: Johnson, Stockman.n'and Thorsen. Also present was.
City Manager, Jeff Sweet.
Mayor Pro -tem Thorsen called the Council to order as a Canvassing Board. The City
Manager presented the election returns for the City Election held on November 6, 1979.

MOVED by Stockman, seconded by Johnson and carried to certify the above election returns
as submitted and to declare that the winner in the Mayoral contest by Rosemary Thorsen
and the winners in the Council contest be awarded as follows: two four-year terms to
Gloria Johnson and John N. Mitchell, Sr. Said returns and affidavits were examined
and found satisfactory and directed to be placed on file.
There being no other business, the Council meeting adjourned at 5:25 P.M.
