Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the Canvassing Board of
the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 Golden
Valley Road in said City on November 4, 1981 at 6:30 PM.
The following members were present: Anderson, Mitchell, Stockman and Thorsen,
and the following were absent: Johnson. Also present were: City Manager, Jeff
Sweet; City Engineer, Lowell Odland; City Clerk, John Murphy; City Attorney,
Robert Skare; and Secretary, Judy Nally.
Mayor Thorsen called the Council to order as a Canvassing Board. The City Clerk
presented the election returns for the City Election held on November 3, 1981.

MOVED by Mitchell, seconded by Anderson and motion carried unanimously to
certify the above election returns as submitted and to declare that the winner
in the Mayoral contest by Rosemary Thorsen and the winners in the Council contest
be awarded as follows: two four-year terms to Mary E. Anderson and Ray B.
Stockman. Said returns and affidavits were examined and found satisfactory and
directed to be placed on file.
