July 13, 1982
A closed session of the Golden Valley City Council was held on July 13, 1982 at
4:05 PM in the City Manager's Conference Room of the Golden Valley City Hall.
Those present were: Mayor, Rosemary Thorsen; Council Members, Mary Anderson,
Gloria Johnson, John Mitchell, and Ray Stockman. Also present were: City
Manager, Jeff Sweet; and Assistant City Attorney, Allen Barnard. No other
person was present.
Notice to hold the closed session was made at the regular meeting of the Golden
Valley City Council, of July 6, 1982. Request to hold the closed session was
made by Assistant City Attorney, Allen Barnard. The purpose of the meeting was
to discuss the status of the lawsuit between the City of Golden Valley and the
Animal Humane Society. No other subject was discussed.
A continuous sound recording was made of the meeting and is being retained in
the custody of the City Manager. The meeting was adjourned at 4:40 PM.
