City Council
September 28, 1982
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council
of the City of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota was held at 7800 Golden
Valley Road in said City on September 28, 1982 at 7:00 PM.
The following members were present: Anderson, Johnson, Mitchell, Stockman and
Thorsen. Also present were: City Manager, Jeff Sweet; and Director of
Administrative Services/City Clerk, John Murphy.
Public Hearing - 1983 Budget
John Murphy reviewed levy limit computations.
Jeff Sweet reviewed purchasing of a cooler for the Park Maintenance Department,
the Detached Worker Program, Human Rights Commission Consultant services, increasing
the issuance of Certificates of Indebtedness and street lighting costs.
The Mayor opened the meeting for public input and persons present to do so were
afforded the opportunity to express their views thereon. Hearing and seeing no
one, the Mayor closed the public hearing.
The Council deferred action on this item until the October 5, 1982 Council meeting.
Public Hearinq - Use of Federal Revenue Sharinq Funds
Jeff Sweet reviewed the proposed uses for the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.
The Mayor opened the meeting for public input and persons present to do so were
afforded the opportunity to express their views thereon. Hearing and seeing no
one, the Mayor closed the public hearing.
The Council deferred action on this item until the October 5, 1982 Council meeting.
Adjournment
MOVED by Mitchell, seconded by Johnson and motion carried unanimously to adjourn
the meeting at 7:45 PM.
