REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
Call to Order
Kiarra Zackery called the meeting to order at 6:36 pm.
Roll Call
Commissioners present: Teresa Sit, Joelle Allen, Ajani Woodson, Chris Mitchell, Ruth Paradise, Melissa
Johnson, Thomas Huling
Commissioners absent: Sheri Hixon
Staff present: Kiarra Zackery, Equity and Inclusion Manager
Approval of June 27 Agenda
MOTION by Commissioner Huling to approve agenda. Seconded by Commissioner Woodson. Motioned
carried by 7-0.
New Business
A. Introductions, Orientations, Hopes, and Hurdles
Equity and Inclusion manager Kiarra Zackery led the meeting with introductions of each
commissioner. The meeting then progressed with a Commission orientation PowerPoint and the
DEI’s mission statement, duties, and membership. Equity and Inclusion manager Kiarra Zackery
requested each commissioner to brainstorm and write down hopes they would like the commission
to accomplish and hardships that may come in the way of their goals.
Adjourn
MOTION by Commissioner Allen and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to adjourn at 8:04pm. Motion
carried 7-0.
