Due to the size of the valves and the requency in which they are exercised, a valve exerciser machine is needed. This machine is also needed during emergencies (water breaks) to shut down water valves. The current valve exerciser vas purchased in 2008 and by the time of the proposed replacement in 2024 will be 16 years old. While there may be some flexibility in when this machine is replaced (it may be able to be extended), it is important to keep it slated for replacement as scheduled due to it being our only machine to do this type (routine and emergency) of work.
